The baseball cap has long been one of the most controversial accessories in menswear and the subject of fierce debate: does a cap make a cap more stylish or modern? Does it make you look like an "old man" at a certain age? Does it really enhance your outfit or make fun of it?
This argument has divided the fashion world for decades,
but over time, more and more men (myself included) are beginning to realize
that, like hats, the real question is not whether we should use them, but how
we do it. ... you should use them. I think I have an answer.
The baseball cap has extensive been one of the most
controversial accessories in menswear and the subject of fierce controversy:
Will wearing a wide-brimmed pouch take your look to the top of everything
stylish and modern? Or is it a one-way voucher to the wicked locker room?
This is an argument that has divided the fashion world in
half for decades, but as time goes on, more and more men are starting to
realize that, as with hats, the real question is not whether we should wear
them, but how we have to do it. It. Use them.

Minimalism "De Luxe"
Men owe a lot to these stylish Scandinavians. They are
discreet, clean and minimal, and of course this rule also applies when pairing
their caps with the rest of their clothing.
Fabrics with a nice touch, such as wool, corduroy or
suede, are materials to wear on your head and pair with classic wardrobe items
such as a light jacket and tight chinos.
Luxurious minimalism
Men owe a lot to these stylish Scandinavians, so what
better way to take off your cap than being discreet, clean and minimal in the
hat section? And anywhere else, for that matter.
Tactile fabrics such as suede, wool and corduroy are
great for adding a luxurious look to your headpiece; especially when paired
with classic wardrobe items such as a light blazer and skinny chinos.
Ready to fly
When we think of “summer stuff,” we always associate a
baseball cap with sunbathing, sweating like a chicken, and putting something
over our head so we don't get burned. However, I think we can improve on this
idea a lot and make things a little more user-friendly.
So when you go to the beach, camping or barbecuing with
friends, pair your cap with one of the items of clothing, be it a shirt or
sandals. This will give you a little more sophistication, and the outfit will
come in handy in case the beach day also turns into an overnight beach session.
Ready to fly
When it comes to real summer stuff, the cap comes with
hot cans of beer, a sandy picnic, and sunscreen. But the right style is not
only a way not to squint in the sun, but also to add personality to the
standard T-shirt and shorts look.
On warm days at the beach or in the beer garden, wear a
cap to tie up your outfit, choosing a color that is the same color as the rest
of the outfit, be it a shirt or sandals. Just make sure the decoration you
choose also blends in with the other layers in your bag when an afternoon drink
inevitably turns into an overnight session.

If you told big shot in the 90s that in two decades, people would
be wearing baseball caps with suits, they would probably choke on their Doritos
and drop their Walkman. But here we are.
This look sounds as modern as
it sounds and is the perfect way to wear a cap without looking like an upset
teenager. Simply put on a simple premium cap with a tee blazer and neat
sneakers. In such an outfit, even the nineties would have exclaimed with
admiration.
